The Pinless Moisture Meter Wood provides Instant and Precise Readings, reading to a depth of approximately 19mm into the slab. The current reading can be captured via the hold function. However, it is important to ensure that there is no metal within 2 inches of the material being measured, as the wall moisture meter readings can be influenced by stacked materials, nearby metal, or your own fingers.

To ensure proper usage, make sure there is no metal within 2 inches of the material being measured, and that the subject thickness is up to 19mm. It is not recommended to make tests on thin drywall directly.

To avoid incorrect readings, keep fingers on the green-rubber grips, well clear of the pad scanning area, and wipe the measured material surface dry and neat for best results. Additionally, the measured material should not be stacked or sitting on wetter materials, as the Moisture tester readings can be influenced by these factors.

The Pinless Moisture Meter Wood is not recommended for use on drywall (gypsum panel), as the density of the drywall is too low to register a reading. The actual readings will vary based on humidity and density of the material.

It is important to note that the pinless moisture meter penetrates up to 0.75 inches deep, so wetter materials located below the subject material can also influence the readings, as can metal nails, workbench, or your hand.
