Additionally, wipe the measured surface dry and neat, and ensure the material being tested is not stacked or sitting on wetter materials, as this can also affect the readings.

It's worth noting that the pinless moisture meter is not recommended for testing pure drywall (gypsum panel). The density of pure drywall is too low to register a reliable reading, and the actual readings will vary based on the humidity and density of the material.

For drywall measurements, we recommend using a pin moisture meter, which is specifically designed to work on low-density materials like drywall, especially when it's dry in the winter.
